“I walked the city to lose myself,
sometimes to find a fragment of calm in nature.
At each step, questions rose like shadows:
Who is visible?
Who is hidden in the folds of the city?
What does the street carry?
What truths sleep beneath it?
Where do I, where do we, stand?

I discerned a discreet dialogue
between the streets, the objects,
and the human experience.
I saw wear and erosion,
the stubborn marks of time,
hands repairing what had broken.

In these scars I recognised
a mirror of the body,
fragile, fissured,
stitched and mended,
bearing traces of both intimate
and collective memory.
Each repair
a sign of life. »
